NAF to deliver another shipment of humanitarian aid to Ukraine

RIGA - This week, National Armed Forces (NAF) troops and Chief Chaplain Elmars Plavins will travel to Ukraine to deliver humanitarian aid and the nineteenth charity shipment to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, their families and civilians injured in Eastern Ukraine, LETA was told by Defense Ministry spokeswoman Vita Brize.

This time, donated clothing, footwear and medical supplies from Latvian citizens, congregations and businessmen, as well as from Swedish non-governmental organizations, will be delivered to Ukraine.

In the Donetsk and Luhansk districts, Chaplain Plavins will also conduct a vocational training seminar for Ukrainian Armed Forces chaplains and lectures for soldiers, providing spiritual support.

For the seventh year, the Latvian defense sector has been providing support to Ukrainian soldiers and their families affected by the military conflict.
