RIGA - Saeima Speaker Inara Murniece (National Alliance) in a conversation with the US Ambassador to Latvia, John Leslie Carwile, discussed the United States' contribution to strengthening NATO's eastern flank and the strong support of Latvia and the US to Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.
As LETA was told at the Saeima press office, the conversation at the parliament also dealt with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's recent visit to Latvia, as well as defense cooperation.
The Saeima speaker and the US ambassador underlined the importance of strategic partnership in dealing with Latvia's long-term energy security.
