RIGA - Restrictions on retail trade in most shops are coming into effect this weekend, but the restrictions will not apply to online shops, LETA was told at the Economics Ministry.
On December 1, the government extended the state of emergency until January 11, setting at the same time a number of restrictions, including on retail trade. The Economics Ministry said that the restrictions are being introduced to prevent people from crowding in stores.
