RIGA - Even though the Health Ministry will not submit particular proposals on restrictions, the recommended directions will include mobility restrictions, Health Minister Daniels Pavluts (For Development) told the press.

He said that the upcoming restrictions will include requirements on remote work, availability of services, mobility restrictions, control and communication measures and financial support measures.

Asked more specific questions about the planned restrictions, the ministry said that the government and ministries together will work on the solutions.

Jurijs Pereveoscikovs, representing the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) said that Covid-19 spread can be contained if people follow the existing epidemiological safety measures. He does not insist on introducing new restrictions.

The expert believes that all employees, if possible, should work remotely, while in those companies, where it is possible, people should not gather in common rooms.
