Foreign medical tourists visiting Latvia to undergo treatment generally opt for various diagnostics and dental services, the president of the Latvian Medical Export Association Olafs Slutins said in an interview with the newspaper Diena.
He explained that visitors prefer these services because they are most easily paired with traditional tourism. ''If more extensive treatment is necessary, then we are competing with the so-called super countries of medical tourism,'' he added.
