RIGA - Maxima Latvija’s new seven-year strategy 2025 has been developed focused on the customers and employees. The development of the whole business group, including standards of excellence and investments which could reach up to 50 million Euro in 2019 in Latvia, has been designed to address the needs and earn the approval of the customer.
“Our goal is to be appreciated choice for everyday, so 2019 will be a year of new experiences for Maxima customers. Last year’s changes have allowed us to implement further transformation and growth this year; furthermore, this development will occur
alongside the group’s growing business in Central Europe, where we plan to carry out an ambitious investment programme amounting to more than 600 million Euro. In Latvia alone, we will invest up to 50 million Euro this year - improving the customer shopping experience, expanding our network of stores closer to residential areas, and varying the assortment of goods on offer. In addition to expanding our product range, we will continue to offer low prices. To reach these goals, the most crucial aspects of our operations will be efficiency, innovation and sustainability in all aspects of the business,” says Maxima Latvija Chairman of the Board Andris Vilcmeiers.
In 2019, Maxima Latvija will invest up to 50 million Euro in developing its network of stores, relaunching existing stores and opening new locations both in Riga and elsewhere. Key priorities will be ensuring a fast and convenient shopping and payment process, expanding each store’s network of self-service checkouts and contactless payment system, as well as offering online shopping in a new, improved form. Particular attention will be paid to sustainable shopping and introducing more environmentally-friendly solutions. Another priority is to continue the product range expansion, introducing more locally-sourced products while also ensuring the highest standards of quality.
