Maxima has been recognised as No. 1 retailer in Latvia and the Baltics in a pan-Baltic survey. On October 3, Maxima was officially named No. 1 retailer and No. 2 company across industries in the Favourite Brand Ranking.

In addition, Maxima was recognised as the leader in Best Buy category in Latvia.

“We thank our customers - this is the highest appreciation our team has ever enjoyed in this ranking. Being number 1 in our industry is a great honour as well as a significant responsibility. Our priority is to offer customers the most convenient and pleasant shopping experience for the best prices in Latvia and the Baltics. To achieve this, we have been purposefully developing our chain’s various formats, opening new and modernising existing Maxima stores. We have significantly reduced prices, as well as implementing a range of innovations and sustainable solutions, creating a convenient, pleasant environment for both shoppers and employees. Regularly expanding our product selection, we work to offer the most extensive choices and unique products. The high ranking awarded by our customers is gratifying and confirms that our efforts have been noticed. This motivates us to continue our work in being our customers’ appreciated choice every day,” explains Andris Vilcmeiers, Maxima Latvija Chairman of the Board.

This year, retail chain Maxima Latvija also became the first company in Latvia to be awarded International Certification Association ICERTIAS’ highest-ranking global award in the Customers’ Friend category.

This year, for the third year, Maxima Latvija was included in the Gold category of the Sustainability Index, as well as being awarded the status of Family-Friendly Merchant.
