Mapon partners with Volkswagen Group Info Services AG to integrate six brands

  • 2026-06-18

Mapon, a leading fleet management and asset tracking solution provider, has started a collaboration with Volkswagen Group Info Services AG to integrate vehicle data of six Volkswagen Group brands directly into the Mapon platform. This integration enables Mapon clients to access vehicle data without installing additional tracking devices, significantly simplifying and accelerating fleet digitalisation.

“The collaboration with Mapon demonstrates how our connected vehicle ecosystem can deliver real value to fleet operators,” says Lasse Schmidt van Hülst, Lead Sales and Key Account Management. “By providing secure, standardised access to vehicle data across our brands, we are enabling scalable digital services that simplify fleet management Europe-wide.”

With this integration, Mapon users across Europe can now connect eligible vehicles from Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Škoda, SEAT, CUPRA and Audi to access essential fleet data quickly. The Volkswagen Group Info Services AG integration provides access to data such as near real-time location, mileage, fuel or battery levels, and service-related alerts. This allows fleet managers to monitor usage, plan routes more effectively, and address maintenance needs proactively, helping reduce downtime and improve overall efficiency.

“This integration is immediately relevant to many European fleets and unlocks new opportunities for companies managing diverse vehicle portfolios,” says Mapon CTO Ingus Rūķis. “We can now onboard large numbers of vehicles remotely without causing downtime or requiring them to return to base for additional hardware installations. This opens the door for companies with light vehicle fleets that need an affordable and flexible solution.”

The integration reinforces Mapon’s device-agnostic approach, enabling companies to manage their entire fleet – regardless of vehicle brand or connection method - within a single platform. Vehicles connected via OEM integrations and those using traditional tracking devices can be viewed together in one interface with consistent data points. This ensures full visibility across mixed fleets without added complexity.
