Man shot in Purvciems this morning is football agent Romans Bezzubovs

RIGA - The man shot to death in the Riga suburb of Purvciems this morning in football agent Romans Bezzubovs, LETA has found out.

Minister of Interior Sandis Girgens, meanwhile, confirmed to LETA that the identity of the man has been established, but did not reveal to LETA his identity.

The minister confirmed that a large-scale investigation to find out about the circumstances of the shooting, as well as to identify the killers, has been launched.

The man was found shot dead in his Volkswagen Touareg in Purvciems this morning.

The police are calling on persons with cars equipped with video recorders, who were driving this morning from 6.30 am to 8.30 am along Gunara Astras Street in the section from Dzelzavas to Augusta Deglava Street, to submit their video footage.

The police also ask those who may provide useful information about the crime by calling 110. Law enforcement officers promise anonymity to information providers.

The police are currently conducting their investigation and are not commenting in more detail at the moment.
