RIGA - A man is believed to have killed his family members and committed suicide in a private house in Marupe municipality outside Riga, LETA was told at the State Police.
Last Saturday night, police found the bodies of three people with gunshot wounds in a private house in Marupe. All three deceased, including a minor, are members of the same family.
Preliminary information suggests that the man who was found in the private house committed the crime before taking his own life. At the moment, all indications are that the man initially killed two members of his family and then committed suicide.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated under the Criminal Law for aggravated murder.
The police have seized a weapon which was probably used to commit the crime.
