LPB Bank continues to invest in developing technological solutions, not only as a driver for the increased efficiency and automation of the bank’s internal processes but also for attracting new clients. As of July 2022, LPB Bank can register a client and open a current account for them remotely, from anywhere in the world. The process of remote identification is available to both individuals and legal entities. With video identification, domestic entrepreneurs and foreign companies from other countries can easily open accounts.

Prospective clients of LPB Bank should register on the website onboarding.lpb.lv to apply for remote registration. Signup requires basic information to be entered on the website and a package of key documents. Once the documents are received and signed with an electronic signature and the fee is paid, the client can undergo video identification.

“We are pleased to announce that our remote identification process has simplified the onboarding of new clients and account opening for individuals and legal entities. Implementing this project will bring essential banking services to a broader range of potential clients. Clients who have opened an account remotely will be able to manage their accounts without restrictions regarding the volume of incoming transfers,” explains Anna Svarena, head of the client service at LPB Bank.

The remote identification process is supported by “Sumsub”, an international company that provides KYC (Know Your Customer), AML (anti-money laundering) and remote identity verification services. The solutions developed and introduced by “Sumsub” help companies meet compliance requirements worldwide.

Further information on the remote identification process and the LPB Bank terms for new clients are available on our website.
