Loans by Lithuania’s lenders to Lithuanian residents grew by €109mn, m/m

The Bank of Lithuania published on September 24 the monetary financial institution (MFI) balance sheet and interest rate data for August 2020, which show that loans granted by credit institutions to Lithuanian residents, having dropped over five months, increased by €109.0mn over the month, to €20.0bn. Loans to Lithuanian households, non-financial corporations and the financial sector grew by €49.3mn, €35.5mn and €25.1 million respectively, while loans to general government reduced by €0.8mn.  At the end of the month, ...
