Lithuanian citizens struggled to make contact with the nation’s consuls working in the embassy during the violence in Turkey last week, President Dalia Grybauskaite has said.
"Consular actions should be adequate to a specific situation, this involves more efficient response to calls and questions from our citizens. One of the examples is the attempted coup in Turkey — getting a hold of our diplomatic mission was a difficult to do," Grybauskaite told the media after the annual meeting with the country's ambassadors in the capital today.
