Lithuanian women continue to earn less than men

VILNIUS – Men's gross monthly wages in Lithuania exceeded those of women by 171.6 euros on average in the second quarter of 2021, according to figures released by Statistics Lithuania. 

Women's gross wages in Lithuania's economy, excluding sole proprietorships, averaged 1,479.3 euros, or 89.6 percent of men's average of 1,650.9 euros. 

Women's net wages averaged 944.9 euros, compared to men's 1,042.5 euros. 

Women's net wages, at 944.9 euros, made up 90.6 percent of men's net wages, at 1,042.5 euros on average.
