Lithuanian Red Cross grapples with two crises, big hearts are never enough

With Lithuania being concurrently pummelled by two major crises, the Covid-19 pandemic and the deluge of irregular migrants on the country’s border with Belarus, the country’s Red Cross does whatever it can to assist those needing aid most – Covid patients, doctors grappling with the virus, and the migrants. “Amid the breakout of the pandemic, like other organizations, we had to reorient, train our volunteers, get used to different work and provide support to those who need it most…And the unexpected migrant crisis is the biggest challenge for us today,”...
