Lithuanian president says number of ministries isn't important

VILNIUS - In response to the Lithuanian Peasant and Green Union’s (LPGU) plans to shut down the Energy Ministry, President Dalia Grybauskaite has said that its functions will not be eliminated entirely and that the number of ministries is unimportant as long as the government works effectively. "The state has to function optimally and efficiently and the government has to act very responsibly. As to the names of ministries and their number, let's leave it to the incoming government and ruling majority to decide," she told the media today. ...
