VILNIUS - Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite signed on Monday a decree appointing Economy Minister Evaldas Gustas as caretaker health minister.
Gustas will commence work in the position next Monday and will serve as caretaker minister until a new health minister is appointed, the president's office announced.
Gustas was appointed as caretaker minister after Health Minister Juras Pozela passed away in hospital on Oct. 16 aged 34.
