VILNIUS – Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda is meeting with Prime Minister Ingrida Simonyte on Monday to discuss the government's decision to introduce national COVID-19 certificates for children over 12.
Ministers made the decision to require children over the age of 12 to have COVID passes as of December 28 to be able to attend certain activities and visit shopping centers. Currently, such certificates are required for children over the age of 16.
The move has angered some parents who stage regular bare-foot protests outside the government office and the Presidential Palace.
