Lithuanian police start probe into cyber attack on Seimas website

VILNIUS - The Lithuanian Criminal Police Bureau on Tuesday, April 19 launched a pre-trial investigation following cyber attacks against the parliament’s website. The investigation was opened into possible illegal data interference. Under the Lithuanian Criminal Code, possible punishments for cyber attacks against important state institutions range from a fine to up to six years of imprisonment.
