VILNIUS - The political career of Eligijus Masiulis, the Lithuanian Liberal Movement's former leader, cannot continue following suspicions of bribery against him, Vilnius Mayor Remigijus Simasius, the party's current leader, said on Wednesday.
"It is obvious that Eligijus Masiulis' career as a politician is and should be over and that such amounts or any amount of money should not come into politicians' hands in the form of cash," he said.
