VILNIUS - With Lithuanian grain traders anticipating a record harvest this year, old harvest cereal sales have slowed down, the business daily Verslo Zinios reported on Thursday.

Gerardas Brazaitis, head of the Grain Department at Scandagra Lithuania, said Lithuania's grain harvest is likely to hit new highs this year as crop areas are large and in a good or very good condition.

Amid the positive outlook for this year's harvest, old harvest grain sales have been on the decline lately, he said.

Lithuania's grain exports increased almost five-fold in February year-on-year to 283,100 tons.
