VILNIUS - The Lithuanian government on Wednesday endorsed a 5G development plan until 2025.
The guidelines on 5G development call for launching the roll-out of the technology in Lithuania next year, with radio frequencies to be assigned and a frequency auction to be announced by the end of this year.
The aim is to deploy 5G in at least one of Lithuania’s five biggest cities – Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipeda, Siauliai or Panevezys – by 2022.

By 2025, the 5G network should cover the country's key transport corridors and urban areas.
