VILNIUS – Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis is visiting France on Wednesday to chair a session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).
In Strasbourg, Lithuania's top diplomat is also scheduled to meet with Alain Berset, Secretary General of the Council of Europe.
The program for Landsbergis' visit also includes a working lunch with PACE President Theodoros Rousopoulos and a meeting with Marko Bosnjak, President of the European Court of Human Rights.
Lithuania is holding the presidency of the Council of Europe's Committee of Ministers from May 17 to November 13.
The mission of the Strasbourg-based international organization, which brings together 46 member states, is "to promote democracy, human rights and the rule of law across Europe and beyond".
