Lithuanian diplomats are working to establish the circumstances of a suspected rape of a Lithuanian tourist in Brazil, which was reported by local media.
“Lithuania’s Foreign Ministry is aware of the suspected crime, however, has received no official information so far,” the ministry said.
According to the letter, Lithuania’s consulate general in Sao Paulo has requested detailed information from Brazilian institutions in order to get in contact with the female at issue.
