VILNIUS – Chief of Defense of Lithuanian Lieutenant General Valdemaras Rupsys and his NATO counterparts will discuss the existing situation in Ukraine and in the Alliance's eastern region.

The virtual non-plenary conference of the NATO Military Committee was initiated by Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg due to the need to receive military advice amid tensions near Ukraine's borders where Russia has been massing its forces.

During the conference, NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) Tod Wolters will present the security situation and discuss a possible action plan.

Ripsys and his several counterparts will attend the conference from the Allied Joint Force Command (JFC) Brunssum.
