VILNIUS – Lithuanian Interior Minister Agne Bilotaite will discuss cyber security and migration challenges with her EU counterparts, her ministry said.

On Wednesday and Thursday, Bilotaite will attend an informal meeting of EU home affairs ministers in France where a tabletop exercise on cyber security will be held. The agenda also includes border protection, migration and civil safety issues.

The meeting will be attended by President Emmanuel Macron of France which is now holding the rotating EU presidency.

During the meeting, Bilotaite plans to stress "the need to set clear measures and procedures member states can take while facing hybrid threats and migrant instrumentalization".

"Proper funding from EU funds should contribute to the implementation of measures aimed at ensuring top-level security near the EU's external borders," the Interior Ministry said.
