VILNIUS – Lithuania will consider a possibility to introduce a state-level school graduation exam for Polish as a mother tongue, and also accept the results of such state-level and school-level graduation exams during university admission.

Such plans are included in a declaration signed by Lithuanian and Polish Education Minister Algirdas Monkevicius and Dariusz Piontkowski in Vilnius on Thursday.

Under the document, Lithuanian will consider such possibilities by 2022.

Currently in Lithuania, students can take only a school-level Polish language exam.
