VILNIUS - Lithuania will elect municipal councils on March 3, 2019, its next president on May 12 and members of the European Parliament on May 26.
Viktoras Pranckietis, the speaker of the Seimas, registered on Thursday draft resolutions setting the election dates.
Members of municipal councils and mayors are elected for four years. The last municipal elections in Lithuania were held on March 1, 2015.
The president is elected for a term of five years. Dalia Grybauskaite was elected president 2009 and re-elected for her second term in 2014.
Lithuania currently elects 11 members of the European Parliament for a term of five years.
