Lithuania's veterinary service receives over 250 reports on maltreatment of animals

VILNIUS – Lithuania's State Food and Veterinary Service has received over 250 reports about violations of conditions for keeping animals and has launched 12 investigations, the service reported on Tuesday. Some 142 dogs and three cats have been taken from various allegedly illegal breeding facilities across the country since the end of last week.
