VILNIUS, May 04, BNS – Lithuanian company Verslo Zinios, majority-owned by Swedish media group Bonnier and issuing a business daily under the same name, posted 5.571 million euros in revenue last year, up 8.2 percent from 5.149 million euros in 2016.
Net profit jumped 42 percent to 503,000 euros, according to the company's financial report submitted to the Center of Registers. It also says the company plans to spend 495,000 euros on dividends this year, after paying 356,000 euros last year.
Verslo Zinios' subscription and advertising revenue inched up 2.8 percent to 4.2 million euros, and other revenue grew 25.7 percent to 1.3 million euros.
Bonnier Business Press owns 72.79 percent of Verslo Zinios' shares, followed by the newspaper's editor-in-chief Rolandas Barysas (19.21 percent) and Klaipeda's financial services and mediation company Cicera (8 percent), whose sole shareholder is Carl William Berneheim.
