Lithuania's liberals to hold first direct chairman election, start nominating candidates

Lithuania's opposition Liberal Movement will elect its chairman directly for the first time and candidate nomination has already started. Candidates can be nominated until July 1, the party said on May 21, and they can include individual party members as well as candidates nominated by party branches and regional coordination councils. It will be the first time the liberals will elect their chairman during a general e-voting by party members and not during a party convention.
