Amendments to Lithuania's Citizenship Law that allow dual citizenship for outstanding merits to the state came into force on Friday.
The amendments, adopted six months ago, allow a person with outstanding merits to the state who lost his or her Lithuanian citizenship to regain it without being required to renounce his or her citizenship of another state.
