Monday April 4, saw 2016’s first group of military conscripts arrive at the Lithuanian army base in Rukla to begin their compolsory military service.
Over 500 young people are starting their service with the Lithuanian Great Hetman Jonusas Radvila Training Regiment in Rukla.
They will then be transferred to units in the coastal town of Klaipeda and the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius, for a further six months of collective training.
The recruits will undergo basic military training in the first eight weeks of their service....
