Lithuania restructures to keep EU funding after 2021

Wednesday January 6 saw the Lithuanian government approve a plan to restructure the country's regions. The decision is a prevention measure to prevent the partial loss of European Union financial support after 2021. Interior Minister, Saulius Skvernelis, told the Cabinet meeting that failure to restructure the regions could lead to the loss of 2.7 billion euros in EU aid.
