Lithuania prepares to build Rail Baltica segment to border with Latvia

As part of preparations for the construction of Rail Baltica's segment from Kaunas via Panevezys to the border with Latvia, Lietuvos Gelezinkeliai (Lithuanian Railways, LG) is seeking contractors to build or upgrade roads related to the European standard-gauge railway project, LG announced on August 14. The works under the contract, worth 35.318 million euros, not including VAT, will have to be completed within five years.
