VILNIUS – Lithuania's EU-harmonized annual inflation rate was the lowest in the EU in April, the latest figures from Eurostat, the bloc's statistics office, showed on Friday.
Lithuania's annual inflation stood at 0.4 percent last month.
Prices rose 0.5 percent in Latvia and grew 3.1 percent in Estonia year-on-year.
Over a month, prices went up by 0.3 percent in Lithuania, grew 0.5 percent in Latvia and rose 1 percent in Estonia.
Across the EU, the average inflation rate rose by 2.6 percent on average, and prices went up by 2.4 percent on average in the euro area.
Denmark (0.5 percent), Finland (0.5 percent) and Italy (0.9 percent) also posted on of the lowest inflation rates. And the biggest price increases were reported by Romania (6.2 percent), Belgium (4.9 percent) and Croatia (4.7 percent).
