Lithuania formin, counterparts to discuss NATO's response to Russia's hybrid action

VILNIUS - Acting Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis and his counterparts will discuss NATO's response to Russia's hybrid actions in Europe in Brussels.

Taking place on December 2-4, the meting will also focus on preparations for the NATO summit in The Hague, look at ways to consolidate support for Ukraine, and discuss the Alliance's challenges in the southern neighborhood with the king of Jordan, the Foreign Ministry said Monday.

During the meeting, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha will brief his counterparts on the country's defense needs.

Landsbergis will hold a bilateral meeting with Sybiha, and is also scheduled to attend a meeting with his Nordic and Baltic, German and Polish counterparts and EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas to discuss security priorities for the Nordic-Baltic region, the strengthening of Europe's defense capabilities and deterrence on NATO's eastern flank.
