Lithuania drops to 35th place in World Press Freedom Index

Lithuania's ranking in the World Press Freedom Index has dropped from 31st to 35th place.  The findings were published by the non-governmental organisation, Reporters Without Borders. In this year's index, Lithuania ranks the lowest of all the three Baltic States after losing four positions due to a decrease of its rating by 1.15 points.  According to the 2016 report, Lithuania's media is free to criticise the administration and its media sources are better protected.
