VILNIUS - The 22-year sentence handed down by a Russian court for Ukrainian war pilot Nadiya Savchenko is a predicted farce, says Lithuania’s Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius.
“This did not come unexpected. Our prediction was that the verdict would be a conviction. From the very beginning, we viewed the process as farce,” the minister told BNS Lithuania on Tuesday.
“It is an incomprehensible indictment for crimes that were committed after she had already been arrested,” said Linkevicius.
