Lithuania decides against starting school holidays earlier, moving all classes online

VILNIUS – The Lithuanian Education Ministry said on Wednesday it will not   instruct schools to start winter holidays earlier than scheduled or recommend that they move all classes online despite the difficult coronavirus situation.  "Students will go on Christmas holidays on December 23 and will end their holidays on January 5," the ministry said in a press release, adding that the decision was made after analyzing the situation at educational establishments.  Outgoing Education Minister Algirdas Monkevicius said the deci...
