February 24 saw Lithuanian leaders congratulate Estonia on its 98th anniversary of independence.
In a message to her Estonian counterpart, Toomas Hendrik Ilves, Lithuanian president Dalia Grybauskaite wrote: ”During the past twenty five years, Estonia has travelled an impressive road, creating a strong, prosperous and forward state for its people.
“There is no doubt that the cornerstone of Estonia is the will and resolve of Estonians to live in freedom and democracy.”
