Lithuania buying German infantry fighting vehicles for 386 mln euros

VILNIUS - Lithuania today signed a contract on acquisition of German Boxer infantry fighting vehicles for almost 386 million euros, the priciest purchase ever made by the Lithuania's Armed Forces. "Some 88 infantry fighting vehicles will be purchased for 385.6 million euros, they have been customised to the requirements of the Lithuanian Armed Forces," Defense Minister Juozas Olekas informed the press.
