Lithuanian basketball coach Sireika plans to run for Parliament
Antanas Sireika, a former head coach of the Lithuanian national men’s basketball team, plans to run for parliament next fall on a ticket of the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party (LSDP).
Algirdas Sysas, head of the LSDP’s central election headquarters, told BNS that Sireika’s name had been placed last on the party’s list of candidates for the upcoming general elections, at number 141.
