Ramunas Karbauskis, Chairman of the Lithuanian Farmers and Greens Union (LFGU), says that he doubts that the majority of the ruling party's lawmakers would support Speaker Viktoras Pranckietis' initiative to grant the status of a former head of state and associated guarantees to Vytautas Landsbergis, the former speaker of the Supreme Council–Reconstituent Seimas.
Karbauskis says that he would not back such a proposal, stressing that Pranckietis, the Speaker of the Seimas, had not discussed the initiative with the party's political group in the parliament...
