VILNIUS – It has been agreed with Poland to open the Lazdijai border crossing point on the Lithuanian-Polish border, Lithuanian Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis announced on Tuesday.

"I have received the Polish prime minister's message that the Ogrodniki-Lazdijai border crossing point on the Lithuanian-Polish border will be opened and all transport that's allowed to do so will be able to move," he said.

Currently, commercial vehicles transporting goods and products can only cross the Lithuanian-Polish border via the Kalvarija-Budzisko border crossing point where a 50-km queue of trucks has formed.
