Launch of Latvian-American Innovation Award

Riga – The United States Embassy in Riga, along with the Baltic-American Freedom Foundation (BAFF) and the American Chamber of Commerce in Latvia (AmCham) have established the Latvian-American Innovation Award.  The Innovation Award partnership also includes TechHub Riga and the Latvian StartUp Association.  As an effort to promote entrepreneurship, research-driven innovation, and closer economic ties between Latvia and the United States, Innovation Award applications are currently being accepted.  The winner will receive 10,000 Euros and the runner-up 5,000 Euros. Applications are due by May 17, 2018.

The Innovation Award will recognize innovation across business and commerce, academic and scientific research, medicine and health, the environment, energy, and education. We invite a large pool of candidates to apply and make the case for why their innovation deserves recognition in accordance with the selection criteria.
