Latvijas Gaze CEO steps down as profits slump

RIGA - Aidrians Davis has resigned from Latvia’s publicly owned gas supply company Latvijas Gaze, after profits fell by 71 per cent in the first quarter of 2015. Davis’s contract was set to expire in August 2015, but he stepped away from the company a few months early, following a poor set of results in the first three months of this year. In the first quarter of 2015, the joint-stock gas supply company Latvijas Gaze sold consumers 422 million m3 of natural gas. Compared to the same period of 2013, natural gas sales decreased by 13.6 percent. ...
