RIGA - Latvijas Balzams, the largest alcoholic beverage producer in Latvia, has increased its disinfectant production capacity to 20 tons per day due to high demand, 3.3 times more than initially planned, the company informed LETA.
Company spokespersons indicated that initially the company planned to produce six tons of its disinfectant Virudes per day, but due to high demand, the production capacity was increased to 20 tons per day.
According to Latvijas Balzams, public authorities, health authorities, food manufacturers, sanitary distributors and premises disinfection companies, as well as retail chains are showing interest in purchasing hand and surface disinfectant Virudes.
He informed that in the future the hand and surface disinfectant will be available in Latvijas Balzams shops around the country. It will also be available for purchase on its on-line website.
The company also announced that the hand and surface disinfectant Virudes will be delivered to several retail chains next week, such as Rimi, Maxima and Euroaptieka.
