Nicer looking jails According to reports this week in Neatkariga Rita Avize, the Latvian Interior Minister will rewrite government regulations for the Mucenieki asylum center in order to prevent construction of a grim jail building with barbed wires and concrete walls in the very centre of Mucenieki village. The building is being designed to detain those who arrive in the country without permission.
