Latvians to celebrate Ligo in at least 28 world countries this year

Latvians abroad will be celebrating Ligo or Midsummer in more than 80 locations in at least 28 world countries this year, Indulis Berzins, a representative of latviesi.com, a website for Latvians living abroad, told LETA. Ligo is the ancient summer solstice celebration observed in Latvia. As the entire nation celebrates, June 23 and 24 are public holidays.
